Shepton Mallet is BA4, market town centre with surrounding rural villages and the Royal Bath & West Showground catchment. Bathroom work splits between period properties in town and rural farmhouses where en-suites and family bathrooms get added to existing stock.
Rural farmhouses often have ancient consumer units, adding a bathroom shower circuit normally triggers a fuse board upgrade to satisfy 30mA RCD protection on every circuit.
Plenty of holiday-let stock around Pilton and Evercreech, bathrooms certified on 5-yearly EICR cycles. We issue full Minor Works / EIC.

The price depends on the bathroom and what it needs: access, cable routes, the existing wiring and whether the room is being refurbed at the same time. We look first, then quote a fixed price in writing. The survey is free.
Yes, Pilton, Evercreech, Croscombe, Doulting, Cranmore and surrounding villages. Rural bathroom additions often need a fuse board upgrade to give 30mA RCD on the new shower circuit. We quote both as one job.
Single-circuit jobs (extractor, towel rail, shaver, mirror) are 1 day. A shower circuit replace is normally 1 day. A full bathroom rewire (extractor, lighting, shaver, towel rail, shower) is 2-3 days for first-fix and 1 day for second-fix after the tiling is in.
Section 701 of BS 7671 is the special-locations chapter for rooms with baths and showers. It defines Zones 0, 1 and 2 around the bath/shower and dictates IP rating and what fittings are permitted in each zone. Zone 0 is inside the bath itself (12V SELV only). Zone 1 is above the rim (IP65, 30mA RCD). Zone 2 is the area within 0.6m of zone 1 (IP44 minimum). Outside zones is 'general' but RCD protection is still required on every circuit serving the bathroom.
